Dr. Naun Bonilla Remembered As A Dedicated Belize Physician, Parent, And Community Servant After June 1, 2026 Death
Dr. Naun Bonilla died on June 1, 2026, after a sudden roadside attack while driving with a 5-year-old daughter.
The child survived physically, and family members now face deep grief, urgent living costs, and future counseling needs.
Dr. Bonilla grew up in the refugee village of Valley of Peace and spent 14 years studying medicine before returning home to serve the community and Belmopan.
The physician had practiced for seven years and had only begun building a meaningful career in local care.
A fundraiser organized by Jonathan Cariddi, with support from Christopher Cariddi, reported $811 raised toward an $18K goal through 11 donations as of June 2, 2026.
Funds will go through Eunice Ayala Cariddi and then directly to Maria, according to the campaign.
Memorial service details and funeral information will be announced later by family members.
